Managing Director & Founder, SHORE Design + Build

Zak Krcić, managing director and founder of SHORE Design + Build

Zak Krcić founded SHORE Design + Build and leads it as managing director from our studio in Pyrmont. We design and build homes across Sydney, with architecture, interiors and construction in one practice. The people who shape a SHORE home are the people who deliver it, from the first conversation about the site to the handover.

[ SOL ] in Bondi Beach is the project he is proudest of. We designed and built the duplex, which set a suburb record when it sold in December 2025. His recent work also includes [ SWELL ] in Dover Heights, where the land falls about two metres to the rear. That home is finished in natural Cristallos stone and travertine beneath an off-form concrete ceiling.

Zak's journal articles answer the questions homeowners bring to a first meeting, from what a duplex costs to build in Sydney to how a sloping block shapes the design.
