RANDWICK · RESIDENTIAL

Old Character, New Light

A Federation residence in Randwick, restored at the front and reimagined to the rear. The original character is held and brought back, the tuckpointed brick facade, tessellated tiles, the detail of the period, while a contemporary extension opens the home to light, volume and the garden beyond.

Inside, vaulted ceilings rise to skylights above the open living and dining space, where a natural stone island anchors the kitchen. Travertine, handmade glazed tiles and brass carry a warm, considered palette through, and arched openings draw the line from the heritage rooms to the contemporary living at the rear.
